I received my Bachelors Degree in Social Work at Cornell University in 1989 and my Masters Degree in Social Work at the University of Denver in 1993. I worked with children and adolescents in a variety of settings from 1989-2005. In 2005, I became the principal and founder of 911 Help for Parents where I focused on helping parents better help their children with behavioral and emotional issues. It was then that I saw the growing need to further broaden my practice. I received further training in Couples and Reconcilation therapy, with a special focus on Infidelity Recovery. My unique experience and training enables me to work effectively with adults, couples, and families with a wide variety of challenges such as, but not limited to separation/divorce, infidelity, addiction, depression, anxiety, mental health disorders, learning/attentional challenges, grief/loss, as well as normal life and developmental changes. Because of my commitment to continuing education and professional development, I participate in a monthly training group where I constantly learn and practice cutting edge techniques to help people heal, grow, and change dysfunctional patterns.

Why me?

I have an ability to connect and establish a rapport with the vast majority of people. My clients describe me as "knowledgeable, down-to-earth, real, present, dedicated, attentive, direct, and available". I will do everything in my power to see that you get the resources you need to feel better in a timely and thorough fashion. Having raised three children in Howard County gives me a special ability to empathize with many of the parenting concerns specific to this region.
